2026-2027 ASB Applications for Current Students

ASB Officer Applications – Junior Students Only – January 23 - 27, 2026
Applications for ASB Officers are due Tuesday, January 27, 2026 by 3:00 PM - NO EXCEPTIONS
PICK UP AN APPLICATION FROM THE ACTIVITIES OFFICE
An accepted ASB Officer must commit to the following:
- Attend ASB Camp June 7-8, 2026 – THE WESTIN SOUTH COAST PLAZA.
- If elected, you will be responsible to serve your school and prioritize your responsibilities in order to do so. You will be expected to put this position before other responsibilities, commitments, and extra-curricular activities. Being an ASB Officer is not a job to be taken lightly as it requires a great amount of dedication, sacrifice, and time. You must complete projects and proposals, organize and execute events with other ASB Commissions, organize and run various spirit weeks throughout the year.
- If elected, you will be expected to attend numerous school events which include; but are not limited to, awards ceremonies, back to school nights, 8th grade information nights, 8th grade welcome nights, all orientation and Freshman welcome dates in August, CIF and Performing Arts events.
- If elected, you will be enrolled in the Leadership Class.
- Wear the Mater Dei uniform correctly at all times.
- Lead by example and always strive to make Mater Dei High School the best that it can be.
All candidates understand the following:
- All candidates are REQUIRED to attend the candidate information meeting on January 29
- All voting will be done on-line via 5-Star Students.
- Total campaign costs shall not exceed $100 (this includes donated items).
- Campaign videos will be speeches that are video taped in Monarch Television.
- You will speak in front of a panel consisting of Mater Dei Faculty and Staff members as well as some of your peers.
IMPORTANT DATES FOR ASB OFFICER CANDIDATES

- January 23 - 27 - Applications available online and are due by 3:00pm on January 27 to the Activities Office.
- January 29 - Meeting for ALL candidates to go over election process in the Activities Office.
- February 4 - 6 - Candidates will make an appointment with Mr. Roberts in the Monarch Television studio to record their campaign speech that will be aired.
- This is your responsibility.
- February 8 - ASB Officer Campaigning Posters & Fliers can be hung
- February 10 - 13 - Monarch TV airs ASB candidate videos and voting will take place on February 16
- February 18 - Panel interviews will take place to determine titles for ASB Officers
Commissioner Applications - – Available March 2 - March 12, 2026
Applications for Commissioners are due ONLINE by Wednesday, March 12 by 11:59 PM - NO EXCEPTIONS!

IMPORTANT DATES FOR ASB COMMISSIONER APPLICANTS
- March 2 to March 12 - Applications are available online and due by 11:59pm on Thursday, March 12.
- March 18 - Interview appointment times will be emailed to applicants via their Mater Dei email address
- March 23 to March 31 - Commissioner interviews will be taking place
- April 13 - Final ASB Commissioner selections will be communicated through email

- If elected, you will be responsible to serve your school and prioritize your responsibilities in order to do so. You will be expected to prioritize this position manage your other responsibilities, commitments, and extra-curricular activities.

Class Officer Applications – Available March 23 - March 30, 2026
Applications for Class Officers are due March 30 by 3:00 PM - NO EXCEPTIONS!

IMPORTANT DATES FOR CLASS OFFICER CANDIDATES
- March 23 to March 30 - Applications available online and are due by 3:00pm on March 27 to the Activities Office.
- March 31 - Class Officer Candidate Information Meeting – both lunches in the Activities Office.
- April 13 to April 17 - Candidates will make an appointment with Mr. Roberts in the Monarch Television studio to record their campaign speech that will be aired. This is your responsibility.
- April 19 - ASB Officer Campaigning Posters & Fliers can be hung
- April 20 to April 24- Monarch TV airs ASB candidate videos and voting will take place on April 11
- April 24- Voting results announced to all candidates at 2:15 PM in the Activities Office
- April 24 - All campaign materials and tape must be taken down by 3:00 PM - NO EXCEPTIONS!
- April 30 - Panel interviews will take place
