A true leader on and off the court, Isabella Strickland embodies the spirit of Honor, Glory, and Love in everything she does. As captain of the Girls Varsity Tennis Team, president of Honors Bel Canto, a Campus Ministry member, and Scarlet Ambassador head commissioner, Isabella is known for her dedication, compassion, and faith.
A proud graduate of Saint Juliana Falconieri School and Parish in Fullerton, Isabella chose Mater Dei for its incredible opportunities to grow academically, spiritually, and personally. She has earned a 4.4 GPA and founded a nonprofit project called Wise and Wonderful which aims to combat loneliness in Senior Living Homes. Through her work with her non profit and RAD camp, she has accumulated more than 750 hours of community service.
When she learned she’d been named Monarch of the Month for October, Isabella says she was “truly so happy and appreciative to see my accomplishments being recognized within my Mater Dei community.” She credits Mrs. Maurissa Talarico and the Campus Ministry team for inspiring her faith and leadership.
Her favorite Monarch memory was winning a state championship in tennis. This reminded her of how teamwork and perseverance lead to lasting joy. After graduation, Isabella hopes to pursue medicine and one day open her own practice.
