Biography

About
Born and raised in New Jersey, Mr. Roberts came to MD in 2016. Having worked in entertainment for close to 30 years, he now serves as the Director of Film and Media Arts, teaches Advanced TV Production, Acting for TV, and Digital Photo 1. When not teaching, Mr. Roberts enjoy hiking, camping, photography, ATVs, classic cars, and video games. Most of all, he loves being a dad.

What I Love About MD
There is no greater experience for a teacher than to see the “lightbulb moment”; that spark in a student’s eye when they truly understand a new concept. There is something special about seeing students try, fail, and try again only to overcome any doubt and succeed. Teaching in Film and Media, I am honored to see that every day.

Other experience: Mr. Roberts has worked all over the country in a variety of venues and has the honor of having worked with some powerhouse entertainers from Kevin James to James Brown; his work has also been featured on television, films, and the stage. 

Education: MA in Educational Leadership from the University of San Diego; BS in Technical Theatre, Theatre Administration, from Frostburg State University .
