Biography

About
Mrs. Kozak is the Executive Director of Educational Technology and Online Learning. She oversees the iPad program and focuses on supporting the Mater Dei community with their technology needs. Mrs. Kozak is an Apple Distinguished Educator (Class of 2019). She loves finding new ways to integrate technology and apps into the classroom.

A native of central Wisconsin, Mrs. Kozak studied Biology at the University of WI - La Crosse and Hofstra University, earning both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees. She moved to Southern California in the summer of 2012 and began teaching at Mater Dei shortly after. Before overseeing the educational technology program, Mrs. Kozak taught Anatomy & Physiology, Marine Biology, Intro to Coding, and AP Computer Science Principles and previously moderated the Renaissance and STEM Clubs.

Outside of school, Mrs. Kozak enjoys walking her dog, going to the movies, cooking and baking, going to the beach, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Other Experience
She spent 6 months working for the National Park Service in Richmond, VA and Yellowstone National Park, WY monitoring invasive species and water quality before attending Hofstra University for her Master's degree.
