Workshops: Summer 2024
REGISTRATION FOR WORKSHOPS IS NOW OPEN!
OVERVIEW:
Workshops provide opportunities for students to prepare for future courses or to enrich their learning experiences. These are NOT actual courses and do not earn students any credit. No grades will be given, and these will not appear on the student’s transcript.
IMPORTANT:
  • Workshops are taken for preparation and enrichment. No grades or credits are given. 
  • (For Workshops only) If unable to attend the Workshop, the Summer School Office must be notified via e-mail at least 48 hours prior to the first day of the Workshop for a full refund. No refunds will be issued after this date. 
  • Workshops are subject to cancellation based on enrollment. In the event that a workshop is cancelled, you will be notified and refunded.
  • Two days prior to the first day of the Workshop, you will receive an e-mail with the specific room number and other relevant details. Please make sure you include an accurate e-mail address when registering.
Monarch Bootcamp
July 8-12, 2024 – 1:00PM-4:00PM ($140)
  • Explore Mater Dei and learn what it is to be a Monarch! Students will get to know the campus, meet several key people, and get acquainted with resources for formation and success. Some topics include: school schedule and time management, social-emotional learning, theology, navigating service hours, essential MD technology, and more – all while getting to know future classmates.
  • Incoming Mater Dei Freshmen & Incoming Mater Dei Transfer Students
  • Other Summer School courses not required.
 
College Essay Workshop
July 12 & 19, 2024 – 1:00PM-3:00PM ($80)
  • Get ready for your college applications with the guidance of a Mater Dei English teacher. Ensure you have a stellar essay ready before the application rush begins! We will guide you through crafting the perfect college essay or help you polish one you have already written. The first day focuses on planning, followed by a review of your essay on the second day (allowing time in between for your writing).
  • Rising Seniors (Mater Dei or non-Mater Dei)
  • Other Summer School courses not required.
