Capital Campaigns

Mater Dei's Capital Campaign efforts over the years have resulted in a full-scale revitalization of our campus with the addition of new buildings like the Meruelo Athletic Center, LeVecke Center, the Aquatic Center and so much more. Through the support of our incredible Monarch community, we have also reimagined existing spaces allowing us to expand our reach and needs of our current student community.

The planned expansion to the Andry Family Outdoor Golf Practice Facility at Mater Dei High School will add a permanent structure adjacent to the existing outdoor facility. Valuable meeting/lounge space, as well as team rooms, hitting bays, coaches offices, and locker rooms. Since it opened in 2012, the Andry Family Outdoor Golf Practice Facility has allowed golf team members the use of an outdoor space including a putting and chipping area, outdoor hitting bays and portable simulation equipment. The expansion will add a permanent 2,000 square feet of space. Along the back of the building, a covered veranda will run to a gazebo-like structure that caps the end of the porch, where students can gather to study or enjoy the picturesque view of the outdoor practice greens and athletic fields. Both the girls and boys golf teams have outgrown the original outdoor practice facility and lack the much needed on campus space necessary for year round programs. Teams currently have to travel to off campus golf courses taking away valuable practice and study time. At present, approximately $350,000 has been raised toward the $1,000,000 goal.

Mater Dei Golf has grown leaps and bounds since its inception in the early 1980's and we are excited to see that growth continue. In an effort to accommodate this ever-growing program of student-athletes, we must expand the current outdoor golf practice facility and create a permanent structure, the future home of Monarch Golf.  As Mater Dei prepares to expand the campus and add a parking structure (completed 2019) and ultimately the performing arts center, we have created an area (through the purchase of adjacent property) to build a permanent home for our talented and dedicated MD Golf student-athletes and coaches.

As Monarch families, friends, golfers young and old, we look to you to help carry on that tradition for our current and future Monarchs and help make this dream a reality.  All MD Golf Club House contributions will be recognized inside the new facility at the $5,000 level or more.

For 70 years, Mater Dei has been a destination for students who seek to excel at whatever they set out to achieve.  Whether that individual is interested in athletics, debate, anatomy, robotics or the arts, Mater Dei will do whatever it takes to help them grow and develop both professionally and as a person.

We turn our attention now to our world renowned performing arts program. Help us build a state of the art performing arts center that will not only effect current and future Mater Dei performers, but also those in our community of Santa Ana and beyond.
