MD Freshman Counseling

Not Just Our Mission, But Our Promise...

Mater Dei High School Counseling Mission:
Our mission is to provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program that encourages the development of the whole person, academically, emotionally, socially, spiritually and vocationally.

Congratulations again on your recent acceptance to Mater Dei High School. Stepping into this next chapter (students and parents alike) can feel overwhelming at first, but I will help make your entry into Mater Dei a smooth, welcoming, and fulfilling experience by working closely with you in selecting courses for freshman year and helping your family understand the academic path at Mater Dei.

In your Course Placement letter, you have the ability to select elective courses and the opportunity to schedule a Welcome Meeting with myself to review your Freshman year schedule. A Welcome Meeting is not needed for your academic schedule to be created, but it offers a personal touch to answer any academic questions you may have during this transition.

While I will guide you through this initial onboarding process, your student will be assigned a new academic counselor once they begin 9th grade. This individual will continue to support them throughout high school. Until then, it is my pleasure to support you, our talented Class of 2029, and I look forward to meeting you soon!
