Biography
About
Mr. Vincent Dao is a Religious Studies teacher at Mater Dei High School since August 2023. As an educator, his is committed to fostering students' understanding and appreciation of the teachings of the Catholic faith, while encouraging both colleagues and students to cultivate a deeper and more meaningful spiritual life. He serves as a Dean Supervisor and a member of the Spiritual Formation Committee. He enjoys supporting the students by attending their sport games and performances (theatre, instrumental, and choral). When possible, he supports the ASB and Campus Ministry department to provide enriching experiences for students.

What I Love About MD
Mater Dei is dedicated to fostering academic excellence while supporting the holistic development of students' character and leadership. I love the community at Mater Dei that provide an environment a sense of community and family for the students to grow and discover their gifts and talents to become servant leaders in the world. I am honored to connect with so many students from diverse background and talents and to accompany them as they discern the path God has prepared for them.

Other Experience
Mr. Dao is also a worship leader with Nomadic providing praise and worship for youth and young adult in the Diocese of Orange. He also lead praise and worship in his classroom for the students to reflect and pray. For the Diocese of Orange, he served as co-coordinator in organizing and leading Youth & Young Adult pilgrimage to Rome, Italy, and World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal. Prior to joining Mater Dei High School, Mr. Dao served as a Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministry and Confirmation for 12 years for various parishes (St. Rose of Lima, St. James, and Christ Cathedral). In addition, he helps with Steubenville Conference as an audio & visual engineer.
