We are pleased to share that power has been fully restored to the Mater Dei campus, and classes will resume tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we worked with Southern California Edison (SCE) to resolve the electrical issues that impacted campus operations.
Updated Class Schedules
Our school calendar has been updated to reflect the following schedule changes:
- Tuesday, October 20: Classes resume with a Gray Day schedule (70-minute classes).
- Wednesday, October 21: We will follow a special schedule with all classes meeting and one lunch period for all students.
With everyone eating at the same time on Wednesday, lunch lines may be longer than usual. We encourage students to bring their lunches from home that day to make the most of their lunchtime. The Grotto will also be available for students to enjoy lunch outdoors, so bring a blanket, grab some friends, and make it a picnic!
College Night is ON Tonight!
Don't forget! College Night will take place TONIGHT, Monday, October 19, at 6:00 p.m. in the Meruelo Athletic Center (MAC). More than 200 colleges and universities from around the world will be on campus to meet with our Monarchs. We encourage all students and families to take advantage of this incredible opportunity. We hope to see you there!
And finally, don't forget - it's Homecoming Week, Monarchs!
We have an exciting week ahead as we celebrate Homecoming!
- Enjoy special dress days throughout the week!
- Homecoming Rally and Food Truck Friday lunch on Friday
- Football game vs OLU on Friday night at the Santa Ana Bowl
- Homecoming Dance on Sunday, October 25
The safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff remain our highest priority. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to welcoming everyone back to campus tomorrow.
