Due to electrical issues affecting the Mater Dei campus over the weekend, Mater Dei High School will be closed for instruction on Monday, October 19. There will be no in-person or online classes.
While there is no danger to our campus, additional time is needed to ensure that all campus systems are fully operational before students, faculty, and staff return for regular instruction.
We continue to work closely with Southern California Edison (SCE) to monitor the situation and receive updates.
Athletics and Evening Events for 10/19:
- ALL scheduled athletic competitions and practices will proceed as planned.
- College Night will also take place as scheduled on Monday, October 19, at 6:00 p.m. in the Meruelo Athletic Center (MAC).
We have taken the necessary steps to secure backup generator power for the MAC, ensuring that this important event, featuring representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities, can proceed as planned.
