Sadie Ha ’26 chose Mater Dei seeking a strong Catholic education and quickly found a community that supported both her academic and personal growth. During her time on campus, she has embraced opportunities to lead, serve, and make meaningful connections within the Monarch community.
Before coming to Mater Dei, Sadie attended St. Pius V School and is an active member of Christ Cathedral Parish in Garden Grove. At Mater Dei, she contributes to campus life through ASB, National Honor Society, California Scholarship Federation, and Key Club, while also serving in the cafeteria, demonstrating her commitment to supporting the community in both visible and behind the scenes ways.
Sadie holds a 4.1 GPA and has earned Principal’s Honor Roll recognition multiple times. She is also proud to have been named Monarch of the Month, a reflection of her dedication and character.
Her service has extended beyond campus through her leadership in Key Club, where she served as a historian for Division 4 West. In this role, she documented events, promoted service opportunities, and supported fundraising efforts for the Pediatric Trauma Program, combining her passion for photography with her commitment to service.
Sadie credits Mrs. Zeyda Marsh, World Languages Chair and teacher, and her counselor, Mrs. Marybeth Nguyen ’12, as two of the most influential figures in her Mater Dei experience. Through their guidance and support, she has pursued opportunities such as dual enrollment at Santiago Canyon College and Santa Ana College while preparing for her future.
When asked to describe her Mater Dei experience in one word, Sadie chose memorable, reflecting the friendships, experiences, and growth that have defined her time as a Monarch.
After graduation, Sadie plans to attend the University of California, Riverside and pursue a path toward becoming a physician assistant.
Outside of school, Sadie enjoys photography and baking, and she values spending time with friends while continuing to challenge herself academically and professionally.
