Chloe Mix ’26 chose Mater Dei for its strong academics and the opportunity to compete in the Girls Soccer Program. Since arriving on campus, she has embraced the challenge of balancing athletics and academics while contributing to the Monarch community.
Before coming to Mater Dei, Chloe attended Sts. Simon and Jude School in Huntington Beach. She is a four-year member of the Girls Soccer Program and part of the Girls Flag Football team.
This year, Girls Soccer made history by capturing the inaugural CIF State Championship in Sacramento, a milestone moment that stands as Chloe’s favorite Mater Dei memory and a defining experience of her time as a Monarch. Beyond competition, Chloe and her teammates also participated in a Christmas BBQ outreach this past December, collecting food and preparing meals for more than 200 members of a local shelter in Santa Ana, reflecting the program’s commitment to serving the community.
Chloe holds a 4.0 GPA and is especially proud of maintaining that level of academic excellence throughout her high school career. She was also honored with the Girls Soccer Alumni Award, the program’s culminating recognition for a senior athlete who best represents the values, leadership, and character the program hopes to see in its graduating class.
Chloe’s understanding of Honor, Glory, and Love centers on giving her best in everything she does while lifting up those around her and ensuring others benefit from her efforts. She carries that mindset into her service work, where she has volunteered primarily at food kitchens. Through this experience, she has enjoyed serving others directly and gaining perspective by connecting with people from different walks of life.
When asked to describe her Mater Dei experience in one word, Chloe chose transforming, reflecting the growth she has experienced in the classroom and on the fields.
Outside of school, Chloe plays club soccer and club flag football, enjoys baking and shopping, and values spending time with her friends and siblings. Looking ahead, she plans to attend college and is considering pursuing a master’s degree. Her parents have played the most influential role in her journey, encouraging her each day to grow, work hard, and become the best version of herself.
