Mater Dei High School is proud to welcome Aaron Castillo as the new Head Coach of the Girls Flag Football program. Castillo brings a strong background in high school and club football, with a clear emphasis on player development, team culture, and competitive preparation.
Most recently, Castillo served on the coaching staff at Orange Lutheran High School, supporting student-athlete growth and game preparation at the high school level. He also brings leadership from the club setting, having served as Head Coach of the Conquer Chargers in Huntington Beach, where he guided athletes through competitive play while fostering discipline, accountability, and strong team culture.
“Aaron Castillo is a driven and thoughtful leader who understands that success is built through preparation, discipline, and relationships,” said Dr. Ken Miller, Executive Director of Athletics. “He shares Mater Dei’s commitment to forming student-athletes in Honor, Glory, and Love, and his background in both high school and club flag football positions him well to build a program that reflects who we are as a school and as a community. Perhaps the most uplifting characteristic Coach Castillo brings to Mater Dei Athletics is his commitment to developing faithful student leaders.”
“Mater Dei’s tradition of excellence and pride is something special,” Castillo said. “I’m excited to lead the Girls Flag Football program with an emphasis on effort, accountability, and love for the game, while helping our student-athletes grow as teammates and true Monarchs.”
