Mater Dei High School is proud to partner with the Anthony Michael Barajas Foundation to celebrate and recognize kindness on Mater Dei's campus in memory of Anthony, who was a member of the Class of 2019.
During his years at Mater Dei, Anthony was a member of the Boys Soccer Team and the Choral Music Program. His life was tragically cut short on July 31, 2021. Anthony spread kindness daily and his family is keeping his legacy alive by recognizing and rewarding others who do the same through the Anthony Michael Barajas Acts of Kindness Scholarship.
The 2024 Winners were announced by members of the Barajas family during our All School Mass on Friday, November 1, 2024. Congratulations to Alice Eskander and Liam Estrada!
Alice is a member of the Class of 2026 and is involved in the Honors Advanced Women's Ensemble and Swim Team. She has taken several Honors and AP Classes during her time as a Monarch and is a member of CSF and NHS. She attended Huntington Christian School prior to Mater Dei.
Liam is a member of the Class of 2028 is active in our Guitar and Robotics Programs. He attended St. Anne School in Santa Ana prior to becoming a Monarch this year.
