Admissions

Need-based financial aid is available to qualified families. Please follow the procedure listed below.

  1. Prospective 8th grade students take Entrance Exam at Mater Dei High School. Click here for more information.
  2. Admission Committee reviews admission file of prospective student.
  3. Admission Office notifies family of student's acceptance.
  4. Financial Aid applications are available in the MDHS Business Office or by clicking here:  English Version    Spanish Version
  5. Families complete the Financial Aid application and mail to Private School Aid Service. The deadline for completing this application is April 1, 2010. However, PSAS will continue to receive financial aid applications after the April 1 deadline. Please understand that financial aid grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis to those who qualify.  Click here for more information.
  6. Registrar's Office sends registration packet to families of students accepted for admission.
  7. Families may complete the financial aid application and mail to Private School Aid Service before official notification of student’s acceptance and registration.
  8. During May and June, Private School Aid Service reviews and provides an evaluation to Mater Dei on each application. Based on this evaluation, the funds available for aid, and the number of families applying, a decision is made by the school's Financial Review Committee on the amount of financial aid granted. A student must be accepted and fully registered before financial aid will be granted. This decision is communicated to each family at the end of June.
  9. Returning students who express financial need, must follow steps 4 through 7 listed above.
