MD Transportation

Mater Dei High School will be offering two different transportation options for the 2018-2019 school year. Please see below for more information.

Do your kids need a ride to Mater Dei? HopSkipDrive can help.

HopSkipdrive is the leading ride service for children, founded by three working moms looking to solve their own transportation challenges. HopSkipDrive will provide three options for Mater Dei families this year - ShuttlePass*, which is a daily ride to school that you sign up for at the beginning of the year; carpools, where you can invite other parents to join a ride and have it driven by a HopSkipDrive CareDriver; and private rides, for you to schedule on your own whenever you need them. All HopSkipDrive CareDrivers have more than five years of caregiving experience and must pass a selective 15-point certification process, including extensive background checks, fingerprinting and in-person screening. HopSkipDrive also tracks and monitors every ride in real time with a team of dedicated safety specialists. *Shuttle passes must be purchased by August 8, to save your seat.

 Carpool

Mater Dei DOES NOT arrange for carpooling.  However, to help families find carpools, we have set up the Mater Dei High School Carpool Bulletin Board on the MD website. This bulletin board is exclusive to current Mater Dei families only for the purpose of finding a carpool.

The Carpool Bulletin Board is for PARENTS driving other students ONLY. Mater Dei High School abides by the laws of the State of California regarding provisional licenses for underage drivers.

It is recommended that you download and print the "How To" document (in PDF format) to help you learn the process to register and navigate the carpool bulletin board.
