Do you want to practice taking the SAT or ACT before it actually counts? Mater Dei High School will be administering full-length mock SAT and ACT exams for $15 each. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn your strengths and weaknesses so you can concentrate your efforts when preparing for the real exams.

Dates: Saturdays September 15, September 22, October 20, and October 27
Time:
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Location:
Mater Dei High school--500 & 600 Wings. Students will be notified of their test location through rosters posted on LeVecke or on the doors of the classrooms located in the 500 & 600 Wings.

SAT AND ACT EXAMS

The SAT and ACT are college admission exams that test what you learn in high school and what you need succeed in college. Most colleges review scores from either the SAT or the ACT test as part of their admissions process. Please check the college admissions requirements of the schools you are interested in to see their specific requirements for SAT, ACT, the Essay section, and subject tests. There are also some schools for which SAT/ACT testing is optional or flexible, and these schools can be found here.

Qualify for a fee waiver? If you think you qualify for testing and college application fee waivers, please bring the first two pages of your parents' taxes from the previous year to your guidance counselor. Go to www.sat.org/fee-waivers for more information on SAT fee waivers. Using the number of members in household and total annual income, you can check the USDA Food and Nutrition Service Income Eligibility Guidelines included in the SAT Fee Waiver Brochure here or the ACT Fee Waiver Eligibility Requirements here. You can also use the SAT Fee Waiver Checklist as a resource.
