Library & Learning Commons
We are pleased to offer Mater Dei students the use of our innovative Library facilities for class projects, research help and resources, and as a quiet space to study. Modeled after university libraries, our Library is welcoming, modern, and a great space for collaborative and individual study. In addition, with the Tech Hub in our Library, as well as the adjacent Learning Commons classroom, we also offer students immediate technical assistance as well as tech-based classes such as Computer Science in our Learning Commons classroom.
LIBRARY COLLECTION AND REFERENCE SERVICE
LIBRARY COLLECTION | Books and reference materials may be checked out for three weeks and may be renewed. Overdue fees for books are assessed at $0.50 per day. All other overdue resources are $2.00 per day.
REFERENCE SERVICE | The library staff is available before, during and after school to guide students to the best sources of information and to assist them in the use of our materials and electronic databases.

- Destiny is our online library catalog (OPAC) which can be used to view items in the collection, create resource lists, and checkout eBooks.
- Your USERNAME is the first part of your MDHS email (without @students.materdei.org) and your PASSWORD is your Permanent ID#
- Online Databases: Mater Dei subscribes to several online databases.
- We also strongly recommend using the Orange County Public Library Database Collection. A library card is needed for complete access. See our Online Databases tab for more information on digital references.

- Our Tech Hub is the landing point for students to get iPad and technical support.
- Students should see our Technology Support Specialists at the Tech Hub for any and all technology or iPad related difficulties that they or their teachers cannot solve.
