Mater Dei's World Language Department
Mater Dei’s World Languages Department offers 39 courses in five languages: Spanish, Latin, French, Chinese, and American Sign Language.
- All World Language courses are UC and CSU approved courses.
- Students must take two consecutive years of the same language to satisfy our criteria for graduation from Mater Dei.
- Honors and Advanced Placement tracks are offered

ABOUT THE SEAL OF BILITERACY
Mater Dei is proud to offer the Seal of Biliteracy to qualified students. Thirty seven members of the Class of 2023 inaugurated this tradition by earning the seal on their diplomas. See PDF link below for criteria and information:
