International Admissions: OTHER countries

Mater Dei High School accepts applications from international applicants applying for grades 9*, 10 or 11.  We do not consider international applications for repeat grade 11. Students entering the 12th grade are normally not considered for transfer to Mater Dei. Please contact the admissions office at (714) 957-3776 with questions in this regard. 

*If you are an international student in 8th grade and are currently studying locally in Orange County, please be sure to take the Entrance Exam. Pre-registration is necessary and can be done HERE.

Complete the online application packet. You will need to create an account with Mater Dei High School.

All paperwork must be translated into English by the school or a certified translator

Online items will include:
  • International Student Information Sheet
  • Application/Processing Fee
  • 7th, 8th, all high school and most recent grade's unofficial transcript
    • Transcripts should provide US grade equivalency conversion and/or percentage conversion
  • E-recommendation Letter
  • Copy of Passport
  • I-134 Affidavit of Support
  • Parent Letter
  • Student Letter
  • California Immunization Records
    • Must include TB screening and Tdap booster


All international applicants must submit a TOEFL/IELTS Score. Applications will not be complete and reviewed until all items, including the TOEFL/IELTS score is received.
Once the online application has been completed and all required documents have been submitted, the Mater Dei High School admissions committee will review the application packet to determine if the student will be granted an interview.
If granted an interview, the applicant will receive an e-mail from Mater Dei High School to schedule either an in-person or Skype interview.
If accepted, the student will receive an e-mail from Mater Dei High School with information and instructions on registration and tuition payment. 
Once the student has completed the registration process, Mater Dei High School will issue and send the Form I-20 to the student via FedEx.
