INCOMING FRESHMAN ASB INFORMATION - CLASS OF 2028

Mater Dei High School ASB Leadership Team Welcomes the Class of 2028!

INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD

SATURDAY, MAY 11, 2024

12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

 

We are looking for candidates who can meet the following requirements:

      • Has proven school and community involvement
      • Able to attend Freshman Day of Welcome in August
      • Able to attend ASB Registration Meetings at Mater Dei in August
      • Able to attend designated “Monarch Den” home games next year as a Den member (Dates to be determined and communicated in August / September)
      • Be an example for all Mater Dei Students by adhering to all school dress code policies, attending all ASB sponsored functions, displaying a positive attitude, and being fully committed to making Mater Dei High School the best that it can be
      • Understand all of the job responsibilities for the position that you are applying for, including the time commitment
      • Be able to attend lunch or after school meetings as required
 

All members of student council regardless of position are required to attend Den games and ASB events. A list of these games and events is given to the students at the beginning of the school year.

Freshman Class Officers

We have three class officers; these three are selected via panel interviews.  The Class Officers begin working on assignments during late summer. Once the school year begins, they are required to be enrolled in the  Leadership class where they will continue working on class projects. During the school year these three students are responsible for planning and executing all of their class activities such as dances, bonding events, etc. The time commitment can include meetings during lunch times, work time before & after school and some weekend days. The cost to be a Class Officer is $200. In addition, students must purchase an ASB sweater for $60.00.

 

Monarch Cub Commissioners

Monarch Cub Commissioners are specific to the Freshman class. The Cub Commissioners are assigned to various projects throughout the year where they are able to get a feel for how our ASB Program operates. The cost to be a Monarch Cub Commissioner is $200 which includes an ASB t-shirt and all materials. ASB Sweaters are required for this position and cost $60.00.  Additional clothing or sweaters can be purchased for an additional fee.
