Biography

A native of Syracuse, NY, Ms. Steves has proudly dedicated over 50 years of her life to Catholic education at the elementary and high school levels. She has been truly blessed to serve as the Director of Campus Ministry since her arrival at MD in 1988.

 

Ms. Steves is deeply passionate about the opportunity she has been given to work with the incredible campus ministry team which in the spirit of the Gospel, exists to support the spiritual growth of the school community: faculty, staff, parents, students, and alumni. She believes it is an honor to walk with our community on their faith journey. Ms. Steves understands the unique privilege she has been called to as a pastoral counselor for Mater Dei High School. 

 

One of the treasures of Mater Dei is in the diversity of the young people I have the privilege to serve each day. I also love how often I can experience MD in a unique and wonderful way- by witnessing our community at prayer and worship, reaching out in kindness and compassion and faithfully walking with one another through challenging times and yes, celebrating with and supporting one another in those victorious times. I love how the fabric of Campus Ministry is woven throughout everything we do as a Mater Dei Family. It is my honor to be a Monarch-striving to live with Honor, Glory, and Love.
