Tim O’Hara

Coach O’Hara returns to his alma mater to begin his second go-around as a coach at Mater Dei. O’Hara served as the freshman team offensive coordinator in 1982, 1983, 1985 and 1986. O’Hara was the quarterback and captain of the 1977 Angelus League Championship team. He continued his playing career at Saddleback College where he led his teams to two conference titles and a Mission Bowl victory in 1979.

Coach O’Hara has served as the offensive coordinator at Santa Margarita and Saddleback College, as well as a couple stints as a head coach. O’Hara’s 1997 offense at Santa Margarita set an Orange County record for most points in a season with 651. His last two teams at Santa Margarita won Division V CIF titles. O’Hara has a Masters in education from Azusa Pacific and serves as Dean of Students at Mater Dei. O’Hara resides in Orange with his wife Alyssa and four boys, Seamus (Class of 2010), Dominic (Class of 2011), Sawyer and Luke.
