Bubba Gonzalez

"Bubba" Gonzalez begins his 2nd year as part of the Monarch's coaching staff. Gonzalez graduated from Mater Dei in 1995. He was a member of the 1994 National Championship team. In 1994, Gonzalez was named 1st team All-South Coast League, 1st Team All-CIF, and selected to the 1995 California vs. Texas Shrine All Star Team. Coach Gonzalez played one year at Saddleback Community College and then finished his college football career at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). After college, Gonzalez played arena football and obtained a tryout with NFL Europe's Barcelona Dragons. He resides in Santa Ana with his wife Kawehi and their 2 sons, Kekaniokoa - 10 and Kealiiwai - 4.
