Mater Dei High School offers Scrip, a program which allows parents, family and friends to purchase gift cards (at face value) right here at Mater Dei. We offer a variety of Scrip, such as VISA debit cards, gas cards, and gift cards for top retailer, restaurants and grocery stores. Every time you purchase Scrip, a cash rebate is generated from the participating retailer which can benefit both you and Mater Dei.
This year, Mater Dei is implementing changes to the Scrip program. Our status as a non-profit educational organization requires that we run our Scrip program with primary support from volunteers, and that we secure purchaser’s wishes in writing with regards to the Scrip rebate. The following changes will take place, effective October 26, 2009:
1. Scrip Sales by Parent Volunteers
The Mater Dei Scrip program will now be run primarily by parent volunteers. Though the locations and times of Scrip sales will change to accommodate parent volunteer availability, we will now offer three options for you to purchase Scrip at your convenience:
Purchase in Person:
As of October 26, Scrip can be purchased and received in person at the following locations and times:
Days: Monday and Friday
Mornings: Mater Dei Main Office – 7:30 a.m. until 9 a.m.
Afternoons: Athletic Ticket Office – 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Order by Email: Submit your order via email to scrip@materdei.org.
Scrip Order Drop Box: You can place your order in one of the drop boxes located in the Main Office and in the Mater Dei bookstore. Orders left in the drop boxes will be available for pick up at the Main Office or Athletic Ticket Office the following Monday or Friday. Click here to print a Scrip order form.
2. Scrip Program Agreement
Each Mater Dei family must now complete a “Scrip Program Agreement” to designate in writing where you want your Scrip rebate to be credited. There are three options to designate your rebate:
- You can receive the rebates at time of purchase. (This option is not tax deductible.)
- Rebates can be credited to your child’s tuition account. (This option is not tax deductible.)
- Rebates can be gifted to Mater Dei High School. (This option qualifies as a tax deductible donation).
Individuals who do not have students currently attending Mater Dei will be asked to complete the form at the time of their Scrip purchase. However, this form must be on file for all current Mater Dei families. Please click here to print out a Scrip Program Agreement form. Please return completed forms to the Mater Dei Business Office.
If your family already purchases Scrip, thank you for your continued participation and patience as we implement these required changes. If you have not yet participated, we invite you to try the program by purchasing Scrip for goods and services you already use on a regular basis, such as food, gas, clothing and gift purchases.
