The Alumni & Advancement Commissioners are responsible for assisting the Advancement Office in their activities with Mater Dei alumni. No job is too small for this group! They're happy to stuff envelopes, sell popcorn at the Alumni booth during football games and assist the Advancement Team in their efforts to raise funds and awareness in MD's alumni network of over 24,000.

The Campus Ministry Commissioners serve as the student spiritual leaders for the entire MD community. Each day they write and read daily prayers for the entire student body. They also organize all Campus Ministry events including Escape and CM meetings. The Campus Ministry Commissioners organize all school-wide outreach efforts such as mission drives and disaster outreach.

Citizenship/Health & Safety/Green Team Commissioners The Citizenship/Health & Safety Commissioners are responsible for raising the flag on Monday mornings and lowering it on Friday afternoons. They coordinate any and all Citizenship Programs including the “Gotcha Card,” the annual Blood Drive, Red Ribbon Week and National Smoke-Out Day. They also organize and update the “Emergency Student Release” binders.

Clubs Commissioners The Clubs Commissioners work to encourage student involvement in campus clubs by holding two yearly club fairs (September and February). These commissioners oversee the accreditation, membership, officers and meetings of all campus clubs. They also work to promote the creation of new clubs among the MD student body. Other responsibilities include executing the “Thank You Faculty Day” during Thanksgiving Week and supervising the Kaleidoscope Food Fair Week.

The Daily, Social & Special Events Commissioners are responsible for enriching the daily lives of students. Their responsibilities include coordinating the music to be played daily during morning passing period, lunch time activities, the Scarlet Ambassador Program, the Japanese Student visit, Junior Monarch visits, the Austrian student two week visit as well as the Faculty Picnic, Welcome Dance, Christmas Candy Grams and the Valentine Formal.

The Historian Commissioners work to keep accurate records of attendance at the weekly commissioner meetings and other ASB functions. The Cultural, Kaleidoscope & Fine Arts Commissioners work to increase cultural awareness and inner-cultural understanding through education in the MD community. These commissioners coordinate two cultural assemblies and fairs each year and work to promote the Fine Arts programs by use of posters and advertisements on campus. Rachel’s Challenge Commissioners
The Rachel’s Challenge Commission’s mission is to inspire, equip and empower every person to create a permanent positive culture change in their school, business and community by starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion. Rachel Joy Scott was the first person killed in the ColumbineHigh School tragedy on April 20, 1999. This commission aims to proactively educate the Mater Dei community through assemblies and public service announcements about issues facing teens including bullying, hazing and rites of initiation and retaliation.

School Spirit & Athletics Commissioners
The School Spirit & Athletics Commissioners organize and coordinate all student rallies (sports, lunchtime, homecoming, etc.). This group also promotes MD's tradition of school-wide pride, spirit and support for all aspects of the MD community through various projects including coordinating the school mascots for football and basketball games. The Spirit & Athletics Commissioners make all posters to advertise athletics and rallies on a weekly basis and are responsible for updating the Athletic Bulletin Board with the latest scores. These commissioners also sponsor the Holiday Athletic fund drive for the Maintenance, Kitchen & Security staff.
