Hundreds of Mater Dei Monarch fans were on hand as Bishop Jaime Soto, D.D., Mater Dei Class of 1974, blessed the ground that became the Athletics & Aquatics Complex. The facility opened in 2006 and is home to a three-court, 3,000 seat gymnasium; a wrestling room; a 12-lane, 25-meter swimming pool; a professionally staffed, fully-equipped training/rehabilitation center; 4,000 square foot weight training/conditioning center; NFL-style locker rooms; and much more.
