For almost 60 years, Mater Dei High School has been a life-changing place to call home for nearly 20,000 young men and women. Through your endowment gift you can help secure the future of Mater Dei High School for generations to come. Why does Mater Dei High School need an Endowment Fund? Educating a student at Mater Dei High School costs over $10,000 per year. Tuition covers approximately 92% of that expense. The remainder is made up through fundraising efforts and generous benefactors. Who will benefit from the Monarch Legacy Endowment Fund? The endowment earnings will be used to support, enhance, and improve the following:
How is an Endowment Gift different from an Annual Fund or Capital Campaign gift? Instead of being spent immediately, endowment gifts are placed into a Mater Dei trust fund. The Monarch Legacy Endowment Fund is part of the Diocese of Orange Education Foundation where your gift will be invested in a legally restricted trust fund, which compounds with interest and dividends for Mater Dei High School. What is your plan for the Monarch Legacy Endowment Program? All endowment contributions are tax deductible and can be made in the form of cash, assets, appreciated stocks/bonds, life insurance, annuities, real estate or personal property, or by listing the Monarch Legacy Endowment in your will. You may choose to designate your gift to a particular program or area of need, or make an unrestricted gift, earnings from which will be designated to an area of most need designated by the school's Administrative Board. The Monarch Legacy Endowment Fund has several gift levels available for appropriate benefactor recognition:
