Credentials: B.A., Geography – University of California, Los Angeles; M.A., Geography – California State University, Fullerton; California Standard Secondary Credential – University of California, Irvine.
This is Mrs. Larsen’s 25th year at Mater Dei High School teaching in the Social Studies Department and her 3rd year teaching in the Technology & Business Department.
Mrs. Larsen is a UCLA grad with a BA in Geography, Minor in Italian and an MA in Geography with a Minor in English from CSUF. She also holds a California Standard Secondary Credential obtained at UCI.
Recently Mrs. Larsen earned the “Outstanding Educator Award” from California Jump Start Coalition for work in financial literacy.
Mrs. Larsen was also the only California educator selected to travel with CEE and the U.S. State Department tour to South Africa during the summer of 2009.
Mrs. Larsen taught the winning team in the state Stock Market Simulation Challenge 2 years in a row as well as having teams in the final competition in the state Econ Challenge and the Capital Markets Contest held at the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Larsen’s hobbies are horsemanship and animal NPOs, which include Donkey Rescue, Rabbit Rescue and Bulldog Rescue.
