Athletic Grant Program

The MD Monarch Club works diligently each year to provide need-based financial aid grants to deserving MD student-athletes who exemplify true Monarch spirit. These grants are made possible through the Coach Coury Putting Tournament as we as the generosity of our members.

To be eligible for a Monarch Club Grant, the applicant must have qualified for financial aid through the Mater Dei business office; participated successfully in a Mater Dei Sports program in the previous school year; must have maintained a minimum 2.5 GPA and cannot have been on disciplinary probation. Student-athletes of all levels may apply.

All applications are blindly reviewed and scored by a panel of Monarch Club members. Based on scores, students are invited to participate in an interview with the panel. Following the interviews the panel decides the final recipients.

Please note that the deadline always coincides with the MDHS Business Office FACTS Financial Aid Application deadline.
