Apple Distinguished School

Mater Dei High School is honored to be recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2022-2025, a distinction held since 2012. Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence. They use Apple technology to inspire creativity, collaboration and critical thinking in learning, teaching and the school environment, and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

The selection of Mater Dei High School as an Apple Distinguished School highlights our success as an innovator and a compelling learning environment that engages students, and provides tangible evidence of academic achievement. This can be contributed in large part to Mater Dei's decade-long 1:1 iPad program and its integration across the curriculum in all aspects of teaching and learning. The iPad is the most versatile tool for the classroom, providing teachers and students with the power of a computer and the mobility of a cell phone all in one device.

Apple Distinguished Educators

In 2019, Apple recognized Mater Dei High School staff member, Mrs. Samantha Kozak, as an Apple Distinguished Educator. In 1995, Apple created the Apple Distinguished Educators (ADE) program to recognize K–12 and higher-education pioneers who are using Apple technology to transform teaching and learning. These are the educators who are looking to change the world. They are active leaders from around the world helping other educators rethink what’s possible with iPad and Mac to make learning deeply personal for every student. To date, fewer than 3,000 educators globally have been recognized as Apple Distinguished Educators. Congratulations, Mrs. Kozak!
